Alexandra Palace Allotments

Alexandra Palace allotments perches high on the hill right next to the palace itself. There are over 150 plots here the majority of which have fruit trees. There are many different forms and varieties including some veterans trees.

Can I visit? The site is closed to the public but the allotment committee holds regular plant sales. Information can be found here http://apaa.org.uk/w/index.php

What is there? There are dozens of trees across the different plots, in all shapes and sizes. There are some old espalier pear trees and a large veteran Bramley.

History of the orchard: Once the gardens of Grove Lodge house the site has been used as allotments since the mid 20th century.

Working together: TOP have provided training to plot holders in summer and winter pruning as well as grafting new apple trees.
