How do orchards support our wellbeing?

Dawn’s Story

In a recent survey of our volunteers:

        * 100% felt their physical and emotional wellbeing had improved by helping in a community orchard.

        *  83% said they felt more connected to other people through the orchard.

At a time when we are more isolated and stressed than ever, and increasingly disconnected from nature as a society, turning to our local green spaces for tranquility, gentle exercise and collaboration with others is a wonderful antidote.

Has an orchard helped you to feel calmer, stronger or more connected?

You can help us continue planting and restoring orchards to contribute to wellbeing by joining our Membership scheme. From as little as £4 per month, you’ll receive our Membership pack, special email updates and invites to events.
