Set in the grounds of Roehampton University, Froebel’s Orchard is the remnants of an orchard planted in the 1920s when Froebel’s College first became a teacher training college.
There are 20 remaining apple trees from the original orchard, which are now veteran trees. There are also a few young pears recently planted in the old orchard, and a younger orchard onsite near The Hive Café. To date, the old apples have been identified as Blenheim Orange, Bramley’s Seedling and Bismarck.

Roehampton University, 29 Roehampton Ln, London SW15 5PJ. The orchard is behind the lake at Grove House, next to Lime Tree Walk
How do you get there?
Barnes is the nearest train station, which is a 20-minute walk from the orchard – or you can take the bus 72 or 265.
