Bottling our cider with help from our wonderful volunteers
The Orchard Project is looking for a home for our cider house and apple pressing HQ ahead of Autumn. We have had a wonderful two seasons in Herne Hill and have now outgrown the site, so the search begins.
What is Local Fox all About?
Our ambitious social enterprise produces Local Fox Cider and London Apple Juice entirely from apples grown in community orchards and gardens across the capital. Hundreds of volunteers have helped us to harvest, press and bottle over 9 tonnes of apple, learning about each step of the journey to create our delicious drinks from apple to bottle.
We share our cider and juice with those that share their apples with us and offer back money for tools, training and expertise to community groups so that these orchards can continue for years to come.

Celebrations of Orchard Project
This forms a part of The Orchard Project’s ‘Celebration of Orchards’ Project, which delivers an inspirational orchard restoration, education and events programme to celebrate and protect London’s orchard heritage. Over 3 years we are restoring veteran orchards across London involving local communities and volunteers who can learn the skills to help to care for their local orchard. We have worked with over 10,000 people to date! The project is predominately funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
