Improve your fruit tree pruning skills with our training course delivered by Bob Lever
This course is for people who wish to learn pruning skills specific to mature fruit trees. There will be a focus on remedial and restorative pruning of trees that have been neglected (that is they have not been pruned for a number of years and have become overgrown). These old trees require a different approach and all too often succumb to the chainsaw of tree surgeons lacking in specific fruit tree knowledge.
This course will be ideal for gardeners, tree surgeons, people who have old fruit trees in their gardens, and those who are involved with the care of old fruit trees/orchards. It will be ‘hands-on’ with plenty of opportunity to put the theory into practice using long-handled pruining saws.
Bob Lever is a fantastic tutor with unsurpassable orchard knowledge. He has over 25 years experience in traditional orchard management and more than 15 years as a tutor. His own orchard is an award-winning County Wildlife Site.
The cost will cover a hot vegetarian lunch and refreshments.
The course will be held at St Josephs R C Church, Highgate Hill, London, N19 5NE.
