The Orchard Project is restructuring its Supporters programme to reward monthly donors with more exclusive perks.
The programme allows supporters to give regular donations to the charity, and in return, they receive discounts, expert advice, newsletters, and more. A donation of £5 per month upwards will unlock printable orchard care guides; a biannual e-newsletter; and discounts at the following retailers:
- Earthsong Seeds: medicinal nursery offering curated seed packs
- Love Heartwood: handmade gifts, toys, and homeware from reclaimed or sustainably sourced wood
- RV Roger Nursery: tree nursery based in Yorkshire
- Select courses on Sarah Spencer’s ‘Think Like A Tree‘ and ‘Think Like a Forest’ programmes, coaching you to integrate natural principles in your work & life
- Tom the Apple Man: tree nursery based in Shropshire
- Winterling: bespoke engraved labels for your garden
“Monthly donations help us plan ahead with confidence,” says Annie McBay, who manages the supporters programme at The Orchard Project. “Our supporters care about orchards and wildlife; their monthly donations help protect our urban greenspaces and fight climate change.”
All donations go into The Orchard Project’s core funding, and are used to carry out various projects, including planting new orchards, restoring veteran ones, and delivering training and community events.
“We want to show our donors how much their support means to us,” Annie says. “So we have focused on rewards that will benefit them as much as possible, like discounts at tree nurseries, masterclasses with our orchard experts, or a tree dedicated to them in one of our orchards.”
Supporters have the option of joining one of three tiers: Blossom, Fruit, and Tree – each of which corresponds to a different donation amount. Higher donation levels unlock additional perks – refer to the table below for full details.
