We have produced a free downloadable interactive guide to hosting an Apple Day with ideas on fun activities you can do to celebrate British apple growing and community orchards in October.
We have put together some of the best ideas for apple related produce you can eat and drink, games to play, as well as craft making, exploratory, educational and performance related activities to do.
Also don’t forget to visit our Events Page on the website and the Helping Britain Blossom Facebook page which is being updated with new events all the time Facebook.com/HelpingBritainBlossom.
For those thinking of holding your own Apple Day event, there is also an interactive Apple Day poster template and planning form to help you put on your own apple event. You can share ideas and promote your event by Tweeting us @OrchardProject and @HelpBritBloss.
Started in 1990 by Common Ground as an annual celebration of Britain’s rich apple growing heritage, Apple Day events are now held across the length and breadth of Britain throughout the month of October and on Apple Day itself – 21st October. These events are a great way to bring local communities together and to enjoy healthy locally grown fruit.
