On Monday 10th, our 35-day long Crowdfunding campaign finished. We raised a total of £18,180 (before adding Gift Aid), which exceeds our target amount of £17,500. Almost 300 people backed the campaign, and it was heart-warming to read their encouraging comments.
We want to extend our sincere and grateful thanks to everyone who donated, supported the campaign and helped to spread the word. The hundreds of volunteers involved in making Local Fox Cider will be delighted that the cider press can remain open for the near future.
Some comments from our supporters:
“If we used and shared all the bounty of the earth, we’d all be fed and watered. Keep up the good work.”
“Keep up the great work, sharing orchard knowledge and reducing food waste! Hopefully we can retain a network of orchards to benefit our wildlife and pollinators as well as ourselves :).”
“Great use of apples otherwise left to rot.”
“A project that reduces food waste and promotes orchards as well as giving companionship to local volunteers and producing something useful and delicious – what’s not to like?”
“This is a wonderful example of using a local food source, and which is so important for the environment.”
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS!
