Join The Orchard Project for an introduction to fruit tree pruning in one of London’s most urban of orchards at Alara Wholefoods, Camden. The workshop will cover both formative and remedial pruning on apples, pears, medlars and quince trees ranging from 4-8 years old.
Course tutor Lewis McNeill has been working fulltime on urban orchards for seven years. Although the focus will be on pruning, with plenty of time for everyone to get stuck in, Lewis will also tie in considerations for planting, tree care and the permaculture approach to orcharding.
Hot drinks and snacks provided, as are tools (feel free to bring your own tools if sharp!). There is a decent cafe onsite for lunch and access to a toilet. Please dress appropriately for the weather, including gloves if it’s very cold.
Cost £40.00 per person, £20.00 concessions (please contact Lewis)
