Wildbrook Community Food and Growing Hub and The Orchard Project would love you to join us for a free day of orchard care.
You will have the opportunity to learn the essential skills required to prune apple and pear trees and keep your orchard healthy and abundant. Reserve your space here.
Firstly we will conduct tree health assessments, learn about fruit tree pruning and how to boost orchard biodiversity, this will be followed by the chance to put your theory into practice and have a go at pruning the fruit trees.
Everyone is welcome, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please be aware this is a practical session and we will be using sharp tools. All equipment will be provided. We will be outdoors for the day so wear lots of warm layers, bring a waterproof just in case, and shoes for the outdoors. As this is a full day workshop, please bring a packed lunch, we will provide snacks and hot and cold drinks. There is a toilet onsite.
