Join The Orchard Project for a two-day introduction to soil management and tree aftercare. You’ll come away from this weekend feeling more confident about ensuring your fruit trees are healthy and productive. Here’s what you’ll be learning:
Saturday will cover: soil science, texture and structure; soil food webs and how to boost soil biodiversity.
Sunday will cover: orchard care plans; pruning principles; mulching; halo pruning; guard management.
This course is part of a series of weekend training courses including “Orchard Survey and Design Weekend Course” (20th & 21st November). You can book one weekend individually, or two together for a discounted price.

About the tutor
Lewis McNeill has worked for The Orchard Project on all aspects of urban orchards for ten years. He is an environmental educator and activist, with a particular interest in ecologically sustainable food systems. He is currently completing his diploma in Applied Permaculture Design.
