Are you looking to preserve your local heritage for the future? If so, come and join us pruning this 100 year old orchard with veteran apple and pear trees. We can offer you expert tuition in restoring veteran orchards to share with your community.
- Learn how to prune older fruit trees
- Develop your understanding of common veteran tree management challenges from vigorous trees to trees in poor condition
- Discover the appropriate tools for pruning older trees
- Gain practical experience of pruning to look after trees at Hainault Lodge and elsewhere
Bear in mind that …
- The training is outdoors, so bring appropriate clothing
- We will provide hot drinks though you will need to bring a packed lunch
- Meet in the Redbridge Cycling Centre car park, Forest Road, Hainault IG6 3HP
