Sunday 8th August
Rosevale Park - Stockport
WE’RE REALLY SORRY BUT THIS STORYTELLING WILL NOW BE POSTPONED UNTIL THE FRIENDS OF ROSE VALE PARK ‘APPLE DAY’. SO SAVE THE DATE | SATURDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2021.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Come down to Rose Vale Park, Heald Green for an afternoon picnic and storytelling with Susie Oldfield. Hosted by The Orchard Project.
Or get stuck in with The Friends of Rosevale Park team as they tackle some clearance works in the woodland area and have a general spruce-up of the park.
We’re taking bookings of four people (inc kids and adults) per picnic mat. No need to bring your own. Our amazing storyteller, Susie Oldfield, will be ready to engage you in some fruity folk tales, splendiferous stories, murky myths and loopy legends. Choose the afternoon slot that suits you and your family best and we’ll do the entertaining.
SAT NAV/PARKING: Use side streets – Oakdale Drive, Rose Vale and Brandon Avenue. The performance area will be laid out opposite the play area in the newly planted community orchard.

OUR WET WEATHER PLAN:
A bit of light rain wont stop us. We’ll place enough picnic mats under our 3 x 6 metre gazebo, so plenty of space for all your kids but adults may want to bring a brolly!
Do watch out for last minute changes landing in your inbox prior to the event.
OUR COVID SAFETY MEASURES:
– We’ll be following the latest guidance for safe outdoor events
– The picnic mats will be placed 2m apart.
– We’ll have check in point for the NHS app
– a one-way system will be in place and stewards will direct you.
WITH THANKS TO:
Stockport Local Fund for helping us achieve our dreams on creating not just a new community orchard, which will one day feed you and support our local biodiversity. but also act as an outdoor venue for performances such as today’s event.
