Springburn Park Orchard Planting

Saturday, 17th March 2018, 10:00 – 15:00 GMT

Springburn Park. Glasgow. G21 3AH

Come along to the Springburn Park Community Village (the soon-to be transformed old Council Depot by the pond in the centre of the park) for a fun day of planting fruit trees and fruit bush in Springburn’s newest greenspace transformation.

Come in your work clothes and get ready to roll up your sleeves and dig. We have 25 fruit trees to plant as well as a lot of fruit bushes and a wild woodland area. Lunch and refreshments provided. Families and people of all ages welcome.

We will be planting in the area next to the bowling green and pond.

This is one of several exciting projects being brought into being by Friends of Springburn Park, and will tie into plans for beekeeping, developing the kitchen and workshop space in the Community Village, and many other aspects of bringing new life to Springburn Park.

Tools, work gloves, Lunch and refreshments provided.
