Siding Orchard. Craig Road, Heaton Moor, Stockport . SK4 2AP
EARLY BIRD TICKETS ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL MAY 1ST TO HELPING BRITAIN BLOSSOM ORCHARD LEADERS ONLY.
Helping Britain Blossom are running this one day workshop on the traditional mowing tool which is undergoing a revival. The course will help demonstrate the skill and how to use the scythe to manage garden lawns, grasslands and meadows, as part of Helping Britain Blossom’s work with communities in the North West. Those attending will also learn how to set up and safely sharpen the scythe. The scythe’s growing popularity is because the tool is usually quicker than using a lawnmower or strimmer and there is no noise or pollution, making it more environmentally friendly.
With instruction from expert trainer Steve Tomlin these places are free to existing Helping Britain Blossom Orchard Leaders and with the added incentive of a subsidised scythe purchase for your orchard. This is a must for those that want to maintain their orchard in a surprisingly efficient, cheap and eco-friendly way.
A light lunch will be provided.
