Join and learn some tips about fruit tree care, pruning and tool care.
Organised by the Penicuik Community Gardeners, supported by Chris at The Orchard Project.
Session will start with a demo and then an opportunity to practice your pruning techniques. Any level of experience is welcome. People are welcome to bring their own secateurs, other pruning tools will be available. Opportunity to also sharpen and hone your own pruning tools. We will also get busy giving some aftercare to the trees in your community garden, weeding and mulching.
Dress for the weather! Bring warm clothes, waterproofs, hat, gloves.
Location to meet: The community orchard is in Penicuik Public Park, John Street, EH26 8NG. Strip of land east of Penicuik Athletic Football Club.
