They’ll learn more about the ecology of orchards and tree care all in a fun and exciting way in this hidden gem of greenspace behind the Parrs Wood cinema complex. Why sit in front of a big screen, when you could be hunting BIG bugs?
By the end of this session you’ll have gained insight and experience in how to identify what bugs and insects are the good guys, which ones you want to try and prevent in your orchard and how to identify problems such as silverleaf, rust, canker and more.
Advice will be given in how to treat issues and problems in the most organic ways possible.
Part of the session will involve seeking out and capturing (for later release) bugs and insects with the orchard at Parrs Wood.
