Join The Orchard Project for a guided workshop in the community orchard at Platt Fields Park where we will go over general fruit tree maintenance skills. We will prune, mulch and conduct tree health assessments on the recently planted fruit trees.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear outdoor shoes, and bring a water bottle.
Meet at the orchard located behind Platt Church, Platt Lane, Fallowfield M14 5NF.
This workshop is free of charge thanks to funding from We Love Manchester charity.
Following the pruning workshop you can join in a Wassail where the community will bless the fruit trees for a fruitful harvest. This free event will take place at Platt Fields Market Garden. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
