Forest Farm Peace Garden, Hazelbrouck Gardens, Ilford, London IG6 2XL
An Orchard Blitz involves a group of people getting together for a few hours to give some much needed care to a community orchard that has become a bit neglected. As well as being outdoors and getting exercise, you will learn horticultural skills such as caring for soil, recognising different pests and diseases, and pruning.

For our sixth Orchard Blitz we will be at Forest Farm Peace Gardens in Ilford. The garden and orchard are situated within an allotment site. Follow Hazelbrouck Gardens under the railway bridge and meet outside the office (a shipping container). The nearest tube station is Hainault on the Central line.
Activities will include weeding, mulching, managing stakes and guards, pruning and hopefully some early Discovery apple harvesting!
You may also discover a new orchard in London, build your community network, make new friends, and of course have fun!
All tools are provided. Just wear outdoor clothes and bring a packed lunch or food to share. Cold drinks provided.
Expect to leave feeling good about the transformation your hard work has achieved !
