A fantastic opportunity to get a bite-sized parcel of permaculture knowledge in an accessible and fun format. The day gives you an opportunity to learn about the different aspects of permaculture with a particular focus on using the design principles within orchards.
The course tutors, Laura and Helen, are experienced permaculture teachers and have run numerous one day courses. They both teach on the Leeds Permaculture Design Course.
Lunch will be provided by the junk food project on a pay-as-you feel basis

This course which will help participants to understand the origin, scope and process of permaculture design. We will explore the systems approach, looking at how elements in a design influence each other and consider how the permaculture principles and ethics help us deign for our vision. A fuller understanding of permaculture tools and the design process is delivered on the Leeds Permaculture design course which runs over 8 weekends Jan-June 2019.
During the day we will use a mixture of different approaches, tutor input, whole group discussion, small group work and design work.
Please dress for the weather as we will be using the outdoor space at times.
