Hainault Forest
Get outdoors in nature this half term with The Orchard Project for a special community event at Hainault Forest. There will be a Wildlife walk for the adults and Orchard Games and Wildflower planting for kids.
10am-1pm Wildlife and Orchard Walk
Join in on this one-off opportunity with expert Orchardist and Ecologist, Russell Miller, for a guided wildlife walk through the orchards of Redbridge.
Learn about their importance, how to manage a veteran orchard, and the future of the forest.
From the newly planted to the mystical ancient orchard of Hainault Lodge. Return at 1pm at the same place we start with refreshments and questions.
Please be ready to walk at 9.45 for a prompt 10am start. We will meet in the second car park, Hainault Forest, Romford Road, IG7 4QN
11-1pm Orchard Games and Wildflower Planting with The Orchard Project
Join The Orchard Project to discover and explore your local community orchard and plant your own Wildflowers and Sunflowers in a reusable bamboo pot that you get to take to rewild your home or garden.
Find us near Global Café, Fox Burrow Road, Chigwell, IG7 4QL
This is a free event supported by Hainault Forest who with The Orchard Project has planted and restored three orchards within Hainult Country Park. Innocent, who through The Big Rewild are joining forces with The Orchard Project to help Rewild our cities and get you outside enjoying and connecting with nature.
Delicious healthy organic snacks will be provided by the wonderful Clearspring. Planting with Wildflower kits from Gardening for Kids.
