WANT TO GET YOUR LOVED ONE, COLLEAGUE OR FRIEND THE CHRISTMAS GIFT THAT WILL KEEP ON GIVING? LOOK NO FURTHER!
These events will fill up fast and make excellent Christmas gifts so book early to avoid disappointment.
Join us for an evening (March 2020) of heritage variety apple, pear, quince or medlar tree grafting in The Northern Quarter, Manchester.
We’ll supply you or your chosen guest all they need to take away at least one dwarfing (M27) and/or semi vigorous (M116/Quince C) rootstock. With locally sourced heritage variety cultivars to choose from we’ll teach you a few of the not-so-hard-graft techniques, tips and tricks to extend or start your orchard.
Don’t know your scions from your rootstocks? “What’s a cultivar again?“, “Ahhh I keep spooning my cuts!“. All terms, techniques, shortcuts and grafting vocabulary will be clearly explained by our own in-house expert Dan Hasler from The Orchard Project.
If purchasing as a gift, and what a gift we might add, we’ll make sure that your guest is sent our welcome pack in advance. This will come wrapped and ready for them to open come Christmas morning or it would make an equally good anniversary, birthday or leaving present. We’ll tailor it to suit, whatever the occasion.
Hosted at Ziferblat on Edge Street in the Northern Quarter for its easy access to the city centre, great (free) refreshments on tap and let’s face it, a quirky room with a chalk board and lots of retro desk space.
We have the room booked from 6:15pm, please arrive promptly, you’ll enter at street level, ring the bell for access, go upstairs and see the reception desk. Grab yourself a free drink or snack from the plethora of options in the communal kitchen and then ask for directions to ‘The Classroom’.
