Tuesday 5th March - 10:30am until 2pm
Dawson's Hill, Dunstan's Road, East Dulwich, London SE22
Dawson’s Hill Orchard sits right below Dawson’s Heights estate in Dulwich, south east London. The orchard consists of several veteran pear and plum trees thought to be around 100 years old. There are also a number of young fruit trees planted in recent years.
This week we’ll be:
- Pruning the apple and quince trees
- Felling some young trees to allow more light and space to the fruit trees
- Mulching around the base of the trees with woodchip
- Creating a dead hedge to provide wildlife habitat
Come along to meet your neighbours and do something positive for the local environment.
Meet on Dunstan’s Road at the bottom of the footpath up to Dawson’s Heights (Click here for map)
