Tuesday 16th April - 10:30am until 2:30pm
Dawson's Hill Orchard -
Dawson’s Hill Orchard sits right below Dawson’s Heights estate in Dulwich, south east London. The orchard consists of several veteran pear and plum trees thought to be around 100 years old. There are also a number of young fruit trees planted in recent years.
This week we’ll be:
- Scything the wildflower meadow to reduce the early growth of invasives – cow parsley, nettle, cleavers and bindweed
- Ringing the ivy off the mature pear trees
- Mulching the young trees
- Repairing the dead hedge
Come along to meet your neighbours and do something positive for the local environment.
