Calling all you wonderful volunteers!
Join us on Tuesday 24th October to help us bottle this year’s London Apple Juice, freshly pressed the day before.
It will be a fun, informative and sociable day where you can meet a brilliant bunch of like-minded people and learn how to bottle our apple juice, pressed the day before using the traditional rack and cloth method.
- The cider magic takes place in an arch in Herne Hill.
- 10.30 to 5.30pm, including a lunch break.
- Wear warm comfortable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting dirty
We ask that you can attend the whole day. If this is not possible please let us know in advance by emailing elizabeth@theorchardprojec
Interested, sign up here.
A bit about our drinks:
With the help of our wonderful volunteers, we hand-craft London Apple Juice & traditional Local Fox Cider entirely from apples grown across the capital. A unique mix of dessert and culinary apples are collected and donated from community orchards and gardens across London, giving the drinks a true taste of the city. All proceeds are used to help us and our volunteers continue to maintain and rejuvenate London’s forgotten orchards and to train communities in orchard skills.
Swap for Juice & Cider:
As a community-powered Cider & Juice enterprise, we are always looking for apples to make into our tasty drinks. To say a big thank you for sharing your apples, we will give back 50% of the juice and cider we make from them! We have a number of pressing and bottling days in which we can take donations, check here for the full list of dates.
