Monday 14th September 10:30 - 15:00
Bethlem Royal Hospital, Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham, London BR3 3BX
Calling all you wonderful apple picking volunteers! We need help to harvest apples from a stunning traditional orchard in the grounds of Bethlem Royal Hospital.
On this one day workshop you will:
- Get the practical experience of harvesting fruit
- Experience what is perhaps London’s finest example of a traditional orchard
- Help community orchards in London to harvest their fruit and stop it going to waste
In return for the apples you help pick the local orchard group will get back cider, tools and training to help them care for their trees.
It’s useful to know…
- The training will be outdoors, so bring appropriate clothing and a packed lunch
- We will be following the current government guidance for outdoor events. Please keep an eye on your inbox for any on-the-day changes.
- We will provide delicious Clearspring organic snacks
If you would like to make a donation for a lovely day out in an orchard and support the work we do we would be incredibly grateful. You can make this online (please reference the harvest name and date) or bring cash on the day.
Please let us know in advance if you are unable to make it, spaces are limited and we need all the apple picking power we can get.
