Want to plant or restore an orchard?

We support a number of orchard groups to plant new orchards every year. Please see our criteria below if this is of interest to you:

  • Is your site in one of our current urban hubs (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Swansea)?
  • Do you have permission from landowners/council to plant an orchard on the site?
  • Do you have a group of dedicated volunteers willing to learn all that goes into caring for the orchard for years to come (fruit trees need a lot of love to be healthy + productive!)?
  • Are you able to easily access water on or near the orchard site?
  • Will the orchard be accessible to the community?
  • Would the orchard benefit people living in disadvantage in some way?

If this sounds like a good fit for your proposed orchard site, please send an email describing the location and how it fits our criteria to orchard@theorchardproject.org.uk and we will add you to our waiting list.

Still haven’t found what you’re looking for?
